CERE­BRAL PALSY: A gen­eral term for a group of per­ma­nent brain injuries that affect an infant in the womb, dur­ing birth, or in the months fol­low­ing birth. Cere­bral palsy patients may have lim­ited motor skills, speech dif­fi­cul­ties, learn­ing dia­bil­i­ties, or other problems.
