SOCIAL ACTIV­ITY: ADAPTED SAILING

AUGUST 10

The ALS Soci­ety invites mem­bers to par­take in an adapted sail­ing expe­ri­ence at the Pointe-​Claire Yacht club. This activ­ity is *reserved exclu­sively for mem­bers with ALS* and it is manda­tory for mem­bers to be accom­pa­nied by a care­giver. Dur­ing the sail­ing expe­di­tion, mem­bers will be accom­pa­nied in the sail­ing boat by a licensed sailor (dura­tion of 90 min). Care­givers can­not accom­pany mem­bers in the sailboat.

RSVP by: Aug. 3rd. If it rains or weather is unfa­vor­able for sail­ing the activ­ity will be rescheduled.

The Mon­treal Neu­ro­log­i­cal Institute’s ALS Clinic and the ALS Soci­ety of Que­bec invite you to learn more about ALS by tak­ing part in an ALS Edu­ca­tion Day on Sep­tem­ber 14.

From 9:00am to 4:00pm, health­care pro­fes­sion­als are invited to learn about all aspects of ALS care.

At 4:00pm, peo­ple touched by ALS are invited to attend a pub­lic lec­ture on cur­rent and future clin­i­cal tri­als, pre­sented by Dr. Angela Genge.

You are invited to the 1st Annual ALS fundraiser at Inverugie Golf in Georgeville. This is a fun and sim­ple way to fundraise for a cause. No expe­ri­ence nec­es­sary, every­one is invited! $30 per per­son will give you access to an alter­nate shot style golf game and chicken BBQ din­ner after­wards. This event is orga­nized in honor of Diane Kake­beeke and Alan Gustafson.

A paint­ball day is a fun way to fundraise for a cause! For $25, get an exclu­sive access to the site, equip­ment, rifle and unlim­ited Co2! You will also receive 100 paint­balls for an extra $14. Din­ner is also avail­able on site. Enjoy good hot dogs, chips and soft drinks for a min­i­mal cost.
